Agriculture is practiced long into the future and has become an essential part of modern society. Everything revolves around a system in which agriculture is happening. It has become such a basic aspect of life that the average person today doesn't even consider where their food comes from; agriculture is always happening behind the scenes, and all most people see is the end product. This agriculturally based society has many benefits, but many disadvantages, too. Take a look at the future:
Technology
Thanks to agriculture, people have been able to specialize in various fields, including the one the modern world is known for: technology. Technology is constantly changing to make humans' lives much easier. There are devices that do everything you can imagine, from taking a picture of you, to actually speaking to you. Our entire world is much smaller because new technology allows for contact from different sides of the world as if they were right next to each other.

Life is Easier
In general, the agricultural revolution and the changes that stemmed from it made our lives much easier. It has gotten to the point where we don't have to worry about our food past its expiration date, because all we see is a grocery store stacked with everything we could imagine eating. Even working for the food often involves 9-5 desk jobs, where all we do is sit at a computer and type; physical labour is minimum for most in a modern, North American societies (at least). All aspects of life have become less demanding, and we are able to obtain more by working less than the hunters and gatherers did.
